Chris, I have Heard that indeed Spec Cast is going to be doing the Challenger version..
I am still waiting on a new 64th Gleaner.... weather that happens or not time will tell. The latest rumblings I have heard was Universal Hobbies was rumored to be doing a 32nd Gleaner A86/ MF 9895/ Challenger 680B. This was a few years back that I had heard this.. Weather or not they do this is still up in the air.
Hopefully the 16th MF 6480 with Loader does well enough for Ertl to do more.
Yeah, there will be a Euro and North American Version done, at least the MF version anyway.
Its sad to see the Orange go, but realistically it was bound to happen one way or the other, Agco really did not 3 of the same tractors painted in 3 different colors any how. The last "Real" Orange tractors were built way back in 1985 anyway and the newer Agco Orange tractors never really caught on in high volume sales after Agco was formed, otherwise the Orange tractors would not be dropped. I like the Orange tractors But it had to happen... Glad Gleaners staying though.

Sean You asked for it ;D Challengers now have the same Sisu engine that the Orange and Red versions have as well www.challenger-ag.com/agco/Challenger/ChallengerNA/WheeledTractors/MT600B.htmThe only real difference between any of the new ones is the hood and maybe still the consoles in the cab although I have not paid much attention to that part of it.

As Far as I know, the Tracked Challenger Tractors and the FWD are still using the CAT Diesel, unless that has changed now with the SISU engine. I don't think Perkins Diesels were used at all in the Challenger line, maybe the smaller Challengers but a lot had the CAT Diesel.
I rather take the CAT Diesel anyday over the SISU engine. The Perkins were good respectable engines, but I think even them are being phased out of the MF's. I heard Agco wants to use SISU Diesels in all there products.

The new Perkins were being made by Cat, I knew the larger tractors had Cat Acerts, but their junk.....at least the C9-C16 Acerts, heard the C16 has good power but is not reliable. Sisu's seem to be a very good reliable engine, I do beleive Austin can back me up on that (Austin, your Agco has a Sisu in it dont it?)

Has more torque than any other similar sized tractor I have ever driven. We have had no problems with the engine what so ever and it should be getting close to 750 hours now but I dont remember what it was for sure. They definately have more torque than the CIH engine even having a lower rated HP.

Right theres the person you want to talk to bout Sisu's....... a person who knows Out of the 10-15 Masseys w. Sisu's that the dealership my grandpa works at maybe 1 has come in for repair........I tell everyone who bad talks Agco to go a drive one before you make decisions.... for example a friend of mine always wears JD stuff but admited the Agco on the farm he works at is much better than the JD and Case's they have. In the last year or 2 they bought 2 new MF's and a MF 8790XP combine Sean
