We finally had a strech of good planting weather at the end of April and the first 9 days of May. Mike got the 150 acres of corn planted with the 4440 and the Kinze planter. They have thought about getting a bigger planter but the Kinze is paid for and it is a good planter. Half of this years corn was planted in wheat stubble and the other half in soybean stubble. Fueling up and getting ready to roll. Planting. Don has been staying busy in the sprayer. Now that the corn is in they are getting ready for soybeans. They have around 60 acres of soys in the ground now. They have around 200 acres more to go. Last night we got .10 of rain and it has been drizzling all day. Just enough to shut everything down. So they took the duals off of the 1270 and got it hooked up to the swather. Since the weather was crappy they are servicing the swather. The alfalfa will be ready to go in a couple of weeks. There is rain in the forecast for the next several days. They will have plenty of time to get the balers hooked up and checked over as well. That way when it drys out they will be able to hit it hard. That is all for now. Questions and comments welcome.

Nice journal Clayton, i hate those little drizzles that are just barely enough to shut you down, they are almost more of a nuisance than they are any good.
