Hey everyone,
Here is the journal that I mentioned in my last journal about minor happenings on Kejr Farms. This one has some better stuff going on. I had a lot of fun putting these together and ended up with about 60 pictures to share. With so many pictures I will probably put them up in three separate journals so as not to bog things down too much.
These would have been posted a few days ago but life happens. And in this case, life is what happened as my wife gave birth to a pair of boys around 2am on Wednesday morning. Everyone is doing well but won’t be coming home until Saturday at the earliest. I probably won’t get all three parts of this journal put up tonight because I need some sleep, but hopefully over the next few days or so I can get them up.
So, on with the story:
We were trying to wrap up the last of the spring fieldwork and summer fallow so we would not be behind once harvest is finished as the fields will need another pass or two to work in the stubble and then a final pass with the rodweeder just before planting. Both dad and grandpa were out in the fields today. Dad took the Versatile with 30’ Crustbuster disk out and grandpa took the sweep plow out with the Wagner.
Getting ready to head out
Heading down the road.
Grandpa needed a few minutes to hook up and then put fuel in the tractor.
Now he is ready to head to the field.
I was able to get some shots of each of them in the field.
These sweep plows are so good you don’t even have to put them in the ground!
Dad and grandpa arrived back at home at the same time.
Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions. Ill try to respond as I can. Stay tuned for parts 2 and 3!
