The girlfriend sent me some pics of them cutting milo the other day. They are running 2 9770's (Only one pic of the one) and pulling fodder wagons behind to catch chaff to feed to their cattle. Interesting looking setup. Trey

I always get a chuckle seeing those old Bessler chaffers behind those new combines. Used to be a lot of those things around. The originals had engines on the front and a belt to collect the chaff. They were a nightmare. The way these guys to it they probably work better than original.

She was trying to explain it to me the other night and I thought they were collecting the stuff for Ethanol uses. Finally got pics of it. Trey

I have always wanted to catch pictures of those rigs in action, but I have never been able too.

Ok, you got me curious. How the heck does that wagon work? Can you just drop the chaff and bale it?

It drops the chaff out in loaves. Similar to a Hesston stackwagon just smaller. They have an electic motor that dumps them and lets the stack slide out the back. They pick them up with a grapple loader and grapple fork and haul them in silage trucks. I have seen them picking them up but never have caught any pics. The stacks are probably wet enough this year you could pack them like silage. I actually got some pics of them picking corn today but I left my camera in the truck. They didn't have the wagons on in the corn. But they still had the chutes on the back that ramp it into the wagons. I thought it was funny because the corn chaff was shooting higher than the back of the combine. I will have to get the pics posted sometime this week.

oh god, I pulled one of those old things back in the day. Ours had wisconson motor on it and was always a pain in the ass. I watch schneiders cut milo with theres last year, it looked like it worked alot better than the old ones.
