if they do then thats great. But it wont. CNH is huge as it is and im pretty sure their our some regulations put out by the gov. about how big a company can be (think I read that on TTT)

If they did merge, they would probably have to sell some of their lines as to not be considered a monopoly in certain markets.

I don't really like the idea of them merging. I like most of Agco's brands (white planters, spra-coupe, willmar...), but Agco already has so many brands. I feel Agco couldn't do everyone justice on all of their lines. I would like to see CNH as a separate company (or maybe even have Case and New Holland separate like it used to be).

i wouldnt want it to change, if CNH went on there own i think they would make it, and b a sucessful company, as they already are.

AGCO has been interested this for months, personally I would love to see this happen just to see what our CIH dealer would have to say. I have my doubts it will happen but if it does watch out, lots of change is coming.

This would be an interesting change. I've always considered AGCO as the "underdog", wonder what they'd do with a company like CNH. Trey

Oh gosh, here we go again. This has been rumored for many many months, probably even years. It will not happen. Legally I doubt it could happen. CNH is Fiat's most profitable company, plus Fiat has now separated their auto division from their ag and heavy machinery divisions to better protect each other. Recently Case IH and New Holland have came out with new products and have done a good job at creating separate identities to each brand. This is the model AGCO should follow now that they have the two core brands of Massey Ferguson and Challenger.

Agreed; AGCO is suffering on sales(SoDak) and dealer support but to merge with CIH/NH just does not sound natural. A lot of the product lines would have to be split up. How about we skip the merge/split and let things be.

i dont think it will happen agco is to small of a company to buy out CNH and put together they could have way to much stuff and one company would have to get rid of lines and i think it would be agco having to get get rid of them i think that case alone has way more stuff sold then agco so i dont think it will happen

New Holland had to sell some companies when they bought out Case, so if they already had to get rid of companies then Agco would have to completely split up in order to just buy Case IH or New Holland by themselves because of how big each companies' market shares are. So I think that this will probably never happen.

i think this idea shud go in reverse personly and mabye john deere should some how get in there would probley be the best Why?? you guys think AGCO is bad about buying up short line companies, you ought to do a little bit of research about the beloved John Deere. Instead of buying out companies they buy out the patent rights to ideas that are better than theirs and they shelf them for decades until they are so useless no one could get any use out of them. The best example is the Bi-rotor combine. Case IH has no chance of getting back out on their own at this point in time as Fiat Owns 90% of the company. Unless Fiat makes a decision nothing will happen. Everyone is out against AGCO it seems when most of you have been so blinded by color or what you hear old farmers talk about that you dont listen to the facts. Sure they might have ruined a few companies along the way but if you didnt know this, almost all of the companies they bought out were on the verge of bankruptcy anyways so give some credit where it is due. The best thing at this time would be to convince JD to hire Richenhagen (head idiot in America) as this would surely bring John Deere to a standstill and allow AGCO to gain some marketshare

Won't happen. Agco would have pretty much a monopoly on a bunch of lines.
