Its been 4 years since I've visited with my friend Donald Martinek but it was a treat to me and my son to visit today. Donald has 1 Steiger Tiger III ST-470, 2 Steiger Tiger III ST-450s, 1 Steiger Lion 1000, 1 Steiger Panther PTA-297, 2 JD 9630s, and a1 CIH 9130 as his 4wds. They farm around 10,000 acre every year and the majority of their crop is Sorghum and Wheat.

Goverment Program bought this Tiger III ST-450 out of commision. Government gave $110K for the Tiger and they still get to keep everything for spare parts. He hated to do it but it made financial sence and 2 had 2 others. The issue is how long can you justify using the old iron before they meet their end and he dicided it was time for this one to be parked for good. Steigers were built well, but like everything else they wont last forever.
