Ok. I think I've found the problem. It's not a metal line but I think its this hose that runs from the back of the engine (it connects to metal line right above the starter with a hose clamp) and it runs up the back right corner of the cab. It was rubbing against a metal line under the cab but I don't think that it was the metal line. I felt and there was some wear on the line but then I felt the hose and it felt like it had a gash in it. I went to take it off and started to drain some fluid out then i decied to stop and ask a few questions before I continued. What exactly is this hose for? And is this something I can take on myself? Here are some pics I took. The hose. This is where it ties into the cab. This is the stuff that was draining out of the line. It looks like water but smells kinda like anti-freeze or has that scent of it. I'm thinking it might be something from the AC. It's really dirty too. Thanks again for looking and helping

I would say that is the lines that go up to the heater. It should just be heater hose. If you pull it off you will lose a fair amount of coolant. From the looks of that stuff it might not hurt to change the coolant and flush it out anyway. If you would happen to drain it out check all the heater and radiator hoses. Will the system is empty that would be a prime time to replace any suspect hoses and save your self some down time and money in the future. If the heater hose is in good shape and just has the one bad spot in it you could always splice it too. If it is long enough you can cut the bad spot out and clamp a nipple conection into the line. Either way you are going to lose some coolant.

I think I just might go ahead and replace the whole thing because its starting to look dry rotted.

yup thats a heater hose, all of ours have leaked at that same spot at some point. Theres a couple things that would be a easy fix. It looks like you might just need to tighten the hose clamp, or if theres enough slack you might be able to take it off pull it out a little and cut off about an inch of the hose then put it back on. or you could just replace the whole hose but if its one of the ones that runs all the way up the cab post that can be a challenge to get out, then a bigger challenge to get the new one back up there.

It looks wet there at the hose clamp because thats where I started to drain some of the stuff out and it leaked there a little. The hose connects at that first hose clamp and then connects at the hose clamp at the cab. So its really a matter of unhooking those two clamps and pulling it out (or so it seems).
