Well First off I have 3 things to say. 1. This is a unfinished basement, so it may not be as fancy as some peoples Display rooms. Im working on a backdrop so bare with me. 2. The display isn't totally finished. 3. The pics aren't me. Its that I cannot find a camera that will take good close-ups and im working on the lighting. Ok on to the Journal. Its been pretty slow on Taylor Farms. The new Kinze "bean planter" was delivered last week. We are still waiting on the new Deere "corn planter" (we updated both planters this year) We are doing some terrace work on the field near the shop this year so we took advantage of this Jan. thaw. We got to break in the new 650H! Boy she sure is a BIG update from the 650B we had. The Panther got a good work out on the pan. We rented the pan and drawbar from Selby Imp. in Quincy IL. I really like the pan so far but would almost rather get a Ashland so we don't need the special drawbar. We also decided we should spread some fertilizer on 60 acres of bean stubble on the other side of the orchard. (to be put to corn) Instead of getting the floater out and serviced for such a little bit we just went and got the Tyler pt spreader from MFA. (the reason we have the floater is we have custom applied fertilizer since '75) Well thats about it for Jan. A couple views of the Panther. fuelin up the 6400. Diggin out the tracks on the dozer The 4440 gettin hitched to the spreader near the shop. A veiw from the orchard. (the orchard has been there since the house was built. 1956) A view from the front yard.

Looks great Chris! Only thing I see is that the terrace is huge, you should probably take some dirt off the top and you need to remove dirt from the uphill side to form a channel where the water collects.

Cool journal. I have seen some terraces that look like that. Steep enough that you slide down the back side with a 4wd tractor when you are farming it.
