My custom beater 359

This is my custom beater or "ratrod" Pete 359. Yes I said 359. You are saying to yourself that DCP never made a true 359...well they didnt. This started as a pile of parts. DCP 379 cab,and hood with a ol style 359 grill. The hood is notched like a real 359 and the breathers are modified also with the exposed intake tubing. This is one of my fave trucks...all of the stainless parts are my own scratch built ones. Its on a DCP IH Prostar chassis with modified FL battery boxes and painted Pete tanks. Its got rough paint and "dented" up stainless front bumper.




This truck was originally built for a Badlandscustomtruck contest. I have Chas's ratty Pete from that contest as well...I will put up some pics of it soon. Well as always,thanks for takin a look.

That front bumper would be pretty bent up hitting drifts of snow we get in SD.....looks good....thanks for sharing

With the bumpers that low to the ground. I'm surprised they don't get tore up really bad.
