Very nice pictures. I like that 9350 row crop special pulling that cart. Did you go after a long term rent agreement because you have rent problems in your area, such as people losing ground every year due to landlords?

Nice pictures Austin, your elevator has quite a corn pile, it puts our elevator's to shame plus yours is actually tarped, ours just puts it in about 5 piles all over without tarps and lets 1/4 of each of them spoil.

No, we had to set up a long term agreement because of the amount of money involved in fixing the terraces. We had to know we would have the ground long enough for the repairs to pay off.

Not to disappoint you but that isnt our elevator, the elevator in town is the only one for miles around that refuses to tarp anything.

Nice pictures. What are the purpose of terraces? Slow water down after large rains to prevent it from creating washouts. Some terraces just hold the water until it soaks in/evaporates while others are precise enough that they will drain all of the water to a ditch or waterway on the edge of a field.

Ok, that makes sense. I didn't know if it was one of those deals where different people farm it every year.
