does anyone else have problems with birds building nests in the muffler's of the tractor. we have them every time we fire up the 180 straw and stuff comes flying out. JW if anyone has had simular experience and what u can do to stop it. Quinton

Hmm. We don't have that problem. Maybe you could put some screen on the opening of the exhaust.

we are thinking screen, and hold it on with hose clamps haha, kinda a redneck invention

We have a 180 and planting last year I noticed most days there was a nest fly out of the muffler. Never really thought of a fix for the problem though.

we always put an old coffee can or a big enough soup can over the end, it helps keep rain out, and it keeps the critters out, just remember to take it off before you start it up

maybe just a flap like combines have would work that way you dont have to climb up there and take it off,

Maybe you could get some metal screen and go to a machine shop and tell them to fasten a piece to some sort of clamp or pipe and then just fasten that over the end of your muffler.

I would say a coffee can or rain cap. We put a can on the mufflers of our 630 and 2520.
