This will be the first year in a LONG time that we have not gotten a single acre sprayed or planted in April.

We may start Monday. Last year we were done planting wheat by April 15. It has just been too cold to dry out, plus some shots of rain here and there.

We are going to try to plant corn today. Finally drying out enough to get in the field.

Not, yet, but if we get the tractor fixed and no more rain hits us maybe we can get some work done this week.

Dad's thinking about spraying 100 acres of our high ground this week if it doesn't rain. It's really starting to dry up, especially with this sun and wind we've had.

We must be an exception. Around here people are finishing up until the wheat comes out of the field, which could be any day now.

We started strip tilling friday and got about half way done with that and started planting yesterday. It's definitely been busy around here, hired hand has been strip tilling and planting, dad has been spraying wheat stubble and delivering seed corn, and I have been chopping stalks and field cultivating.
