Well finally emptied the camera again lol Summerfallow is being worked, dust storms rolling through, rain failling , planting, and other stuff First Tier IV 4wd showed up in town, this makes the second one in this area that I know of, also about 5 Tier 4 Magnums around as well. Wheat looks surprisingly good up here, head south of interstate and it turns terrible, lots of guys tearing it up or spraying it so they can summerfallow or plant it. Finally got some planting pictures, planting milo Spectator Big storms rolled through friday night, led to a night of storm chasing (also had the real storm chasers out here) no twisters in this county that I know of, might have been a small one farther north east Took over 150 pictures in an attempt to catch the lightning, only 5 had lightning and 2 were so blurry they werent worth keeping, oh well Cool looking clouds Doppler truck, they had 2 within about 5 miles of each other, exact same as the one Clayton had a picture of. They also set up about 100 tripods with measuring devices in the ditches along the highway Best lightning picture i got New Magnum 340 Need dragos? New 290 Magnum Wierd looking fert/anhydrous injector Not sure about the story on this, possibly a fire? Big one Combine row Thats all for now Austin

Nice looking pictures. Love the storm ones. I took some myself when I was out with my camera last year. So far the storms been at night here, so I can't take those.

Nice pics. It was funny Wednesday those guys in the doppler said nothing was going to happen then they took off and it brewed up a big storm. On Friday I baled like crazy till 11:30 watching that lightening show move toward us. We had about 10 minutes worth of baling when it sprinkled just enough I had to quit. Mike was able to finish it with the 466. They will eat wetter hay than my 510 will. That was some wicked lightening. I was getting close to abandoning the baling and getting out of there but I never got any closer. It would light up the field once in a while.

I was getting close to abandoning the baling and getting out of there but I never got any closer. It would light up the field once in a while. I was out planting the last field of milo and each time I turned around to head back west I could swear that the clouds were getting darker. Dad came to the field shortly before 7, I went to eat and then headed out with the camera, I caught the picture of the grain bins around 7:30 and figured this will pass and nothing major will happen. Went out west of town about 7 miles to the feedlot and man this storm sure looks wicked. Pulled off on a dirt road to watch and take pictures and a guy in a car pulls up and asks if I had seen anything. Apparently he had heard that the storm chasers were around (news to me) so that started the chase. The lightning got pretty severe out here and at one point I almost called it quits just because of that, got some great video though. At one point I saw "twin" lightning where there were two identical bolts in the sky at once, I wish I had been filming at that point.

I wish I would have had time to try and get some pics or video of the lightening while I was baling. Some of it was a little scary. I was about to call it quits then it calmed down a little.
