Spent Tues. pm and Wed. am hauling the last of the flax, durum and peas to town (Assiniboia) so with the exception of about 10,000bu of lentils, we're emty, and ready to refill the bins again. Started out hauling with both semi and tandem but at the end the there was only a tandem load left of each peas and durum. Wed. am grain vacing peas. Driving to town a neighbor was getting ready to bale alfalfa with his Massey 2705 and JD 567. Hope these aren't needed for seeding (or tillage) any time soon ;D this set was at the waters edge. There has been a ridiculous amount of rain this spring including a 10 day period that saw 6-7". The last significant rain was a 4" dump 2 weeks ago now that washed out a pile of local roads and created a lot of sloughs (standing water). This was a couple years back. As of Wed. These are the same corners There's been so much rain that our big 700 acre slough has come up another 2 ft and after going out on it with a friends boat this past Sunday, the fish finder said its now 6 ft average with the center getting as deep as 8ft in spots. That was it.... I had enough. Wed pm We drove to Moose Jaw and picked up this. ;D ;D Stay tuned for the wake boarding below the barn pics ;D ;D

what is durum used for and also what are those in the water i couldn't telll and nice truck Amber Durum wheat is what pasta is made from and that's about all it's used for. We're registered seed growers and grow AC Navigator and Brigade varieties to supply the local area with seed. The implements in the water are one-way discers. CCIL (Coop Implements), same as the John Deere's in the next pic. BTW, lauched the Yamaha tonight and went for a buzz around the pond. Hard to get my head around the fact I was getting a crop off it the last few years.

I think its a early combine. Probley built shorty after they quit building threshing machings.

We used to have a similar pull type in our tree row along with 5 ot 6 other old gleaners. They're now spending life in the local ironyard. Trey

Well boys, it's actually the remnants an early Minneapolis-Moline combine. If you look close in the last pic you can see the last of the MM yellow paint on the side of the header, as well as a touch on the wheels and motor. We've got a second one (was originally the parts unit for this one) sitting along a grassy strip. My dad still chuckles over the memory of the original owner using this thing (trying to keep it patched together) back in the 50's and early 60's.

I would have guessed an old IH, almost had their look but I guess all the yellow on top would have given it away.
