Our detassling leader told us that were not working tomrow, because of the big storm that rolled through, winds were up to 70+mph last night. Pioneer has alot of seed corn down there, since there seed corn plants are down that way. Heres a pic of the corn. He says "Almost every field had some wind damage and in most cases the corn is completely laying down. As of Monday, July 11th we have no idea what the season will hold for us."

That's what our fields looked like after Hurricane Ike. Only difference was ours was already mature. We hope we don't get any high winds because Pioneer screwed us and sent my dad 2 hybrids for himself that are highly vulnerable to greensnap.

Hit us around 4:30am this morning. We got a about a half an inch, Id much rather have not much rain, then flat corn! Cousin told me the corn looks like a steamroller smashed it all. I'm helping my two cousins clean up trees tommrow, in a town that got affected by the storms.
