That's because everything else is internal! You must not of saw the electronic folding hopper extension, new corn head or been inside the combine

This new combine is new from the ground up. Which will carry Deere's newest generation of combine for the next 10+ years. As the last series (60 and 70) was really based off the 50 series that came out around 2000.

That's true i didnt go looking around on the inside of this combine but the rotor is still still the same and driven the same and the hopper extension was electric but isnt that a option on the old ones? And there wasn't new headers with it. Not everything is redone as far as we can tell but more then i listed was.

Actually the electric hopper extension wasnt available on the old ones. I watched a video on youtube about it and the extension had to be lowered manually on the older versions.

You also have to realize that in your grandpas day a combine probably cost $10,000 and could harvest 10 acres per day if it was a good day. Everything is expensive when you talk to someone old.

Magnum, Pricing is always going to go up. That still won't stop the Big Operators from getting them. They will keep buying them. The smaller guys just have to look into the used market. That is what we do for large equipment. Most guys around here don't even buy a brand new combine. They get them used. Austin, In my area, Agco was overpriced compared to the Deere and New Holland dealers. I priced a tractor while back. So pricing is different in areas.

I know I am a little late to this but the 25 series was all released at the same time, the difference is that the 2588 has a larger engine (or just more horsepower), larger grain tank and possibly (not sure) more cleaning area. That probably takes into account a large part of that 25K price difference.
