cool it this for like a small crane truck or something its new to me You see them in the oil fields. They are used to lift and move things at a rig or any other activity related to oil. When the the poles are folded over the cab they can pull a trailer too. Here are couple videos of them in action. youtu.be/_ppNGBVlAuwyoutu.be/Mi5WQIoE-6g

Now that I look at that real picture it looks like an old Rainbow truck. See their new shed in the background. Trey

That is really slick. You see some trucks like that running around up here from time to time.

When you said Gin truck I was thinking of a cotton gun truck not a oil field truck!

That looks good, it's neat to see how the oilpatch varies from region to region. Gin poles aren't too common up here any more, most trucks just run pickers. Do you have any more oilfeild stuff in the works?

Are those super singles on the front? It looks sharp Yes they are. I did not think DCP wheels would fit as well as they. Especially under the front fenders.

Do you have any more oilfeild stuff in the works? I have a water truck on the horizon. I cut up DCP asphalt trailer and intend to cap the end then build a bed around it like you would see locally. This would be a tandem used to haul salt water from the storage tanks to disposal sights.

Now that would be cool. Those are really the only trucks you see on sand roads these days. Way too many running around this part of the country. Any particular company you'll model them after? Trey

Trey I do not have any specific company in mind. What ever suits my fancy is what it will be. I think you have a local company with lime green tank and white cab. Might do that as I like lime green It would be nice to find a good source of T800 KWs for this type of project.

They have all macks except for a volvo. Paul's have all T8's. Trey

IHdriver beat me to it. When I saw Treymo as the writer, I thought he doesn't come from cotton country. I looked at the picture, & thought, that's a gin pole truck, & I don't ever recall seeing those around cotton gins. Oil fields probably, but don't think cotton gins. Youd did a pretty good job on it.
