I'm new to this site, I found some pictures of the boom mower i have at work. I'm the foreman for a township road department. It is a JD 6420 with a Diamond boom mower. The mower has a 50" deck with 20' of reach. We maintain 37 miles of roads, most of witch we keep mowed. Jason...

The boom swings back for transport, and forward. The boom is offset on the deck so you can reach behind sign posts, poles and trees. The boom is set to the inside of the deck, and more toward the front.

No it is Lancaster township Butler county in western PA. We do get tourists looking for the Amish once in a while. It is fun to see their reaction when you tell them, they are 5 1/2 hours too far west.

Dang, a township road department? We just have a county road department and our roads never get mowed.
