I also got this in my last order. I been wanting to get this one soon as I found out it was being produced. I'm a big fan of these type tractors. Some call them Wheatland or Standard. Either way I love them. As in their day, they was heavy built and the largest most companies made for tillage and drilling. This was the Big Iron. The Case D was the Wheatland version of the row crop. Non adjustable front axle and other stuff was changed around to make it suitable for this type of field work. Once again Spec really did well on the casting. Lots of detailing just like the Case DC before it. I found no flaws on this one. Too bad they didn't pay this kind of attention on the Massey/Challenger/Agco tractors they did recently. Based off the latest series. ![](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/SamuelHeavner/cased.jpg) ![](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/SamuelHeavner/cased1.jpg) ![](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y19/SamuelHeavner/cased2.jpg)

It looks too odd to me. I really hope to see a 1456 version also come out. I have the one in 16th Ertl did last year and its very sweet tractor. I would love the 64th version of him.

Southern, I used to have Ertl's version before this one. The older version didn't have the battery box in front or on top of the steering column. In my "old" part of Texas these were popular in the ricefields on drills, big disks(for their day) & moldboard plows. I just may have to order one myself, even if I don't need another utility type tractor. Ah, for the good old days, with the Case D's, LA's & un-styled Oliver 99's. EVK
