the North American machines could be changing as well, I read an article this spring that said they were experimenting with using electric motors instead of hydraulics to drive the machine.

the North American machines could be changing as well, I read an article this spring that said they were experimenting with using electric motors instead of hydraulics to drive the machine. The electrogator (as they call it) is a great idea and the next step in sprayer technology (as well as many other areas). Unfortunately they must not be ready to release it as they have upgraded the wheel motors in the current series to a design more similar to what CIH uses, word from the field is that the new wheel motors are much more reliable than the old ones. I don't remember which company said it but the reason a lot of the european machines are so different is because of how they spray. You hear all the time about guys over here spraying at 15-20 mph where as over there they typically spray slower allowing for different designs as well as wider booms.
