I saw this posted on Vankleys. This does seem about right on the pricing from what I can remember. On other combines. Man this sucker will set you back.
Real combine pricing: S690 combine - $ 453,703 16 row corn head - $ 148,976 40 ft. grain head - $ 97,608 Combine plus 2 heads = $ 700,287

I hadn't really looked into to it. But going by combine prices a few years ago I can see it. I remember a brand new one with a draper and 12 row would set you back a good 500,000. For one of their largest models. And that wasn't too long ago. I can see it getting up in that price range. Look at Diesel pickups, with all that EPA stuff. Each year theirs goes up in prices. Dad's 2003 GMC cost around 30k, now the same truck will set you back around 40k.

Most of the farmers here dont buy brand new combines. I only saw like 2 new combines that was bought in the area. The ones they upgrading to now are in the early to mid 1990s.

Same here, in my area many farmers can't afford 300K combines. The newest combine I know of is a 9560STS and that guy is a custom cutter. The newest combine that belongs to a farmer is a 9510 that was traded in on a 66/7720. Most guys are starting to grow cover crop, chickens, pigs or are doing custom work so that's how they can afford newer stuff.

My area if you aren't a custom cutter you got a 9600 or a 2*88. Or you got way to much money you have a newer combine. 9870's are popular for the bigger guys. Same with 8010's

Really not sure what guys will be doing around here once the S550 is dropped, I have heard Deere wants to drop the S550 in a few years. The local Deere Dealer here sells more 9570STS's then they do 96- 9870STS's! Right now they have 14 9570STS's in on trade compared to one or 2 9870STS's or 9770's. Dealer seems to move the used 9570's faster then the bigger combines. Still a lot of 9X00, 7720's etc in my area as well.
Deere's price for the S690 seems right in line, I think the Lexion 770 is in the same price range with both heads.

Interesting, I am guessing the Lexion 770TT with tracks is more close to 750 - 800,000K? They are an impressive machine for sure. Local Lexion Dealer has few new 700 series out in the field now, very impressive. I like Deere as well, but Lexion should really give Deere a wake up call in my area reguarding the combines.
