Kind of a slow fall for pictures. I apologise for that... We finished up with beans on November 3rd. The last irrigated circle of beans averaged at 7 bpa. Very sad... Irrigated corn averaged at 130bpa. Never did get around to cutting any dryland corn. We just no-tilled wheat into it... We did cut all our dryland beans. We averaged out at 11 bpa on them. Irrigated beans were right around 35 bpa. With 4 inches of rain for the year (most falling after harvest was completed), it was just dang hard to raise a crop...
The Crew... 8650 with 1040, 9760 with 612 Chopping head, 9330 with 1050, and 9870 with 612 chopping head.
Hired hand snapped a snout off on the first pass of the sason. Kinda funny afterwards but me and dad were pretty worked up at the moment.
Unloading the 9870....
Neighbor demoed a new S670 from Carrico Imp.
Did some Fallowmaster work
I worked ground ahead of the drill after the guys went home and we couldnt pick corn.
Trying out another Landoll. This one was wider and the dealer actually had it properly set...
Had to drill twice as many acres with the CCS since one of the hired men tore up the Great Plains. I ran it for the night shift after school and on Saturdays and Sundays. I never had ran the CCS before this year. I really enjoyed it though, it was a blast...
We had a packrat that chewed a wire going to the powershift three times. The darn thing wouldnt go into gear.. Still havent found the dadgum gooner...
See the problem? We tried to drill a couple hundred acres with it that way but finally just parked it...
Ever seen 30 bushel irrigated corn? We had a circle and a half of this...
Sorry if your annoyed by my griping but this has just been a real tough year for us.. Like they say though, the hardships makes a
farmer.
Thanks Guys.
