It has been business as usual at the farm. Calving is going good we should be approaching half way done. The heifers are around 95% done. Still have a few stragglers. The weather has been cooperative for the most part. Minkler Ag is still putting on dry fertilizer. They are running hard when the weather permits. Here is the FLX finishing up a field right before dark.
We are getting ready to drill some forage oats. We got the 8870 and the ccs out to get them ready. We will probably drill later this week. The old Ag Chem dry machine had to have some welding done on the back end. It is showing its age and may end up getting traded off. One of the service trucks was also getting worked on. One of the stack mounts was breaking so they took the stack off to fix that.
The trucks have been staying busy. The Volvo is now on its permanent job. I has been hauling fuel now for 2 days.
They have also been hauling milo to the ethanol plant. We have a contract for March so they have been working on that. The Mack and the Orange Pete have been on that job.
Fueling up and washing the windows at the end of the day. Getting ready to roll early the next morning.
Johnson Ag our partners in crop production and us went up to a sale in Iowa and they bought some equipment. They had it all home except a dry tender trailer. We had to haul a new Sunflower drill up into Iowa to a dealer so we put it on our lowboy and brought it home. Here we are in the yard with it.
Dustin brought one of his new W-900s down to pick it up. Here he is unloaded.
Well that is all for now. Questions and comments welcome.
