2 scale fab already makes the non self propelled version. Honestly to me, this machine is overkill and not needed. Not to mention ugly. If it would now hay & chop as well as rake then it would be worth while IMO

Yea I know it may be an overkill and ugly. But hey I'm just sharing it and thought it was kinda neat.

i say they keep that head and have them all come to the middle and co through a chopper like a sp chopper and then you can blow it in to a truck so it the biggest sp chopper on the market

Thats's not a bad Idea as well, hey who knows they never stop designing. They may be on the market one day.

I saw this on Toy Tractor Times this past summer! I believe there are only going to be like 12 made, so the ones that are for sale will be one pretty penny!

Yea that's my Dad and I were saying, it looks expensive and it probally will. Only 12 made, that will be very rare pieces of equipment but eventually other companies may make them if only 12 are made like John Deere, New Holland, Case IH etc. Like everything else if ya know what I mean.

I saw one at a farm show this past week and another one near the end of summer. Really nice pieces.

I dont think they are overkill at all because if you think a regular pull type one is like 80 to $100,000 thousand and you need a good tractor with about 200 HP to operate it so there is like another $100,00 to $200,000 thousand and that is an ivestment of about 180 to $300,000 and the machines sell for $200,000 so in some cases it is alot better deal because with the selfpropelled model you have all of that in one!!!

first time I saw this I was wondering why but now I am wondering why not?
They wouldn't have designed it if there wasn't some demand for them. They already had the technology for both the power unit and the head so R&D on the project would be minimal. I know I would rather run an SP machine over a PT almost any day. You don't have a tractor running over your crop and this sounds like it has a few more control options than an PT unit so if your a BTO that has a tractor tied to your merger most of the time anyway this would make sense.
I can never understand why everyone is so concerned with how farm machinery looks, ugly or not does it do the job?
I would bet only 12 were on the first produciton run, they won't stop building them entirly after that, you would just have to order one then wait.

Thnx for the video and i agree miniskfarm. They wouldn't design it off freetime, you design for customers and a purpose. Maybe only 12 made for demonstration, more will probally come about if product is liked and I have heard Yes and No's. Every proudct is that way and people have pro's and con's like on here some think it's ugly and looks awesome.
