Well I started my first custom project tonight. I'm taking a platform head n fitting it to the r450. It's not done yet but I've got a couple pics to give an idea. comments n criticism welcome Attachments:

I'll attach it with the haybine attachment points that i cut off of the haybine head that came with the swather. thats what the little piece is that's in between the swather n the head.

I would take the header and a dremal or something and sand down the augar. Read swather head's don't have a augar. And maybe a put a draper in there. Hoss made a custom head a while back a draper. I would look it up. Unless you are going to use it for a combine too. Then you could just make a removeable drum.
Other then that It looks good. I hope it all works out for ya. If you can't find the header of that Hoss did then i could look for ya.

Thanks for pointing that out on the auger. I was gonna paint the platform under the reel black anyway so I'll just remove the auger beforehand. Makin it a draper not so certain yet, it's my first custom so I may wait till I'm feelin more ambitious  |
