Dad got a kubota tractor a year or so ago. It was in a fire and burned up but not too bad. So the insurance paid the owner a new one. And dad bought this one for almost scrap price. Dad been playing with it off and on since. And finally got it running again.
Its a nice tractor don't get me wrong. With fwa and loader. But the parts are a pain to get. Fuel tank took a month to get. The wiring harness going on 2 months and nothing showed up. Dash took almost a month. To make it worse, some parts came in Kubota Orange like they should be painted. But Kubota has like 4-5 different Orange colors. And each one of those painted parts. Had to be stripped/sanded and repainted to match the tractor.
Bottom line, you end up with a Kubota, be ready for a pain and stress from parts. In the future I will buy me a new tractor. After seeing this, New Holland or Deere is still top choice. I won't bother with Massey since their Utility Line isn't up to par compared to Deere or New Holland.

I have heard Kubota is not that bad, only should be use for yard work or little farm work. Wouldn't want to use it out in the fields like the bigger models.

I run two kubotas both the same model and year-m9540 95 horse with fwa. I use them for feed wagons. I have never had any problems with them nor have i had problems getting parts. I like my kubotas much better than my John Deere 5105M.
The 5105M cost much more than the kubotas and it doesnt make sense to pay that much more for what im doing with them.

kubotas are popular with the yuppie landowners and such around here in central ohio although they are good machines but expensive to work on and forever to get parts thats why we have case ih or deere parts are cheaper and easier to get

Its a 2006 L3400. The fire melted all the plastic/rubber parts. And scorched the hood. The fenders was toast. The local New Holland dealer handles our Kubota stuff. They been doing that brand since the 80s. So they are a good dealer. Just the parts are a pain. Dad got it to use instead of the Yanamar we use for a yard/chore tractor. As it is becoming a pain to get parts for too. As lot of stuff on it is no longer available.

So it will be mainly used as a yard/chore tractor. I have bigger ones to handle my hay operations.

Maybe the smaller tractors arent great but in my expierence the bigger tractors are very good tractors and parts are as simple as getting parts for the other tractors

They sell far more of those than the big ones. They are more known for their Utility size tractors. From what I found out, you won't see me buying a Kubota. I will stick with Deere or New Holland.

You are trying to get parts 99%+ of the dealers do not stock.
When I was a lawnmower jockey for a living, we ran Kubota F2560's 5 days a week 8-10 hours a day 3-4 months straight.
Super reliable machines and can really take a pounding while hammering out the acres.
Only major issue was a cracked head because an operator let his shirt cover the radiator.
Took two weeks to get it back. Had a Deere F935 on demo during that time.
Nice machine, but it wouldn't put the taller grass out the side like the Kubotas do.

The F935 Deere's are a good front mount machine, but a little underpowered for mowing long heavy grass. I have its bigger brother, an F1145 with 60" Side discharge deck, 35hp Yanmar Diesel, 4X4, and it will cut heavy long grass like nothing, and throw it out the side with no problems at all. The extra power helps out big time. I have had a horrible experence with Kubota, mainly parts & service and is a big reason I won't be buying another Kubota. I don't really want to get into what happened, but it was not a good experence. Jason B
