Anybody got a good solid review towards these? They seem to be cheap horsepower. Our Case 7220 has 6600 hours on it and dad would like more power.

my idea of cheap hp would be like $35k for a decent 4850 deere but to each his own i buy a brand new magnum every 5 years or 2000 hours so i cant really talk

My buddy is demoing an brand new MT655D right now. I had a chance this evening to take it out on the road for a drive. Here are my thoughts.
The engine is very strong and spools up fast. Lots of torque available at very low RPMs. This is also fully adjustable via the computer if you want it to spool up slower for any reason. Very nice.
The transmission is flawless. Easily the best I've ever had the pleasure of driving.
The ride is similar to a Cadillac. I was hitting bumps at 34mph and I could barely feel them. Very impressive suspension.
I hated the monitor in the cab. A touch screen would be a huge improvement. This is something I would likely adjust too over time.
If you have all the field lights on and turn on the flashers, the lights go out. When you turn the flashers off, you have to hit all 5 buttons again to turn your field lights on. Very annoying. No adjusting to that!
I'm not a fan of the cab overall. The front corner pillars are kinda thick and visibility is less than his magnum 305.
I primarily used the transmission in auto mode. All I had to do was press down on the foot throttle and off we went. Similar to driving my truck. This is a great feature for a newbie running a grain cart. No thought required. Just steer.
My buddy pulled his 7300 gallon Houle for a few days with this tractor and it handled it very well. It's a great tractor for this job.
I couldn't tell you what the difference between the D and the C would be, but my understanding is that the transmission hasn't changed much.
Chad

Cheap HP to me is like a 300HP 4890 Case, you can pick up a nice one for 10k.

Cheap HP to me is like a 300HP 4890 Case, you can pick up a nice one for 10k. Pretty sure you can't get a decent (as in not crazy hours, and not abused) 4x4 anymore for 10k. Ten years ago you could...
