Well i "officially" bought my new planter today, drove out to Madison, SD and signed the paperwork. After looking at a bunch of 7000's and coming to the conclusion that i should just spend some money and get something a little newer, i found this 7200, and i got one hell of a deal on it besides. This one is a 94' and so it has the later model 7200 updates on it. I got 32 new disk openers thrown in for free, i just have to put them on. I'll get some more pic's of it when they bright it out.........can't wait for spring now to try it out!

you should have bought the one next to it but the one next to it cost an arm and a leg haha, yeah i would like to, but im not gunna spend $80000 on a planter. We only buy machinery that we can pay for in cash. With markets as crazy as they are, and with the price of land it is, we don't want to have any loans out for machinery.

I hate pull type planters but I have to admit I'm jealous of the extra 4 rows you have on us

Yeah the salesman was really nice, i went down there back on january 20 and looked at it, and told them over the phone on the 24th that i'd take it, but wouldn't be able to come down til this week to sign for it, and they were totally fine with it. They even took it off tractorhouse.com that same afternoon.

We have all JD, but have no where near 4000 acres. He seems really nice. He wasn't there today tho, he had the paperwork ready to go and another guy helped me with it. He was the main one my dad and i dealt with tho.

My local dealer got bought out by Schuneman Inc. a month or so ago, so i'm hoping that my local JD lot doesn't go from having a good supply of used stuff, to only mostly new.
