IH CXT John Deere Service Truck

I had no place in my display for a IH CXT pick-up b/c there is only 5 or something like that in Canada. I really wanted to use the CXT though because it is such a nice truck so I thought I would convert it to a service truck. I was a little nervous cutting into the truck - I only have one and they are pretty pricey if you can find them. I am having a "break-down" on the display with a 9860 that I am currently re-doing - it is pictured in the last pic. I needed a service truck. I didn't want anything too flashy so I made it plain white with so Deere Logo's on the doors. I still want to add a small crane. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out and thanks to everyone who had posted pictures of theirs it helped me to do mine...

Dang man, that looks great! Im not a big fan of the CXT, but I really like the way you set this one up.

really nice looking service truck you got there. im thinkin that my farm needs one weve just been runnin out of a half dozen tool boxes in stead of a big service truck

Looks really nice man. Liking all the little amenities to it. Can't wait to start making my own some day soon. Also, as stated above, like the opening side on the combine.

johndeerecharger - i used 2 combines to make the opening door on the 9860... cut with dremmel to fit right

your deere inspired me so i did it to my 9120 case

sweet - cdc - do you have any pictures?

I added some more detail this afternoon - hoses and cutter on the torch, gauges on the tanks, gas cans, oil can, pale, lights on the back of the cab, pylons, crane, 3 tractor fab grease guns and a jd fly wheel

I also finished a jd dealer f-250 truck

You do some great work bu!! Awesome micro detail in the box. I like the crane, don't see many of them on toy models.
On another note, what do you mean by only 5 in Canada? Deere CXT's? Because the international dealers in my area have a few of them.

Edit: are the doors on the combine still fixed? I like them to. Wish that all toys had them..

Dallas - I read that there were only 5 pick-up style trucks in the country but that years ago. Glad to hear there are more out there!

The door is still fixed with plans for a hinge - when i detail the inside the door will be hinged
