There is an old Farmall M with an F-10 loader on it behind one of the local gas stations. The owner says they couldn't get it to run a couple years ago, so it has just sat. I was wondering if any of you guys have an M or F-10 loaders, and how easy they are to work on and use?

Not sure on the loader. But Ms are very easy and simple to work on. For what they was in the day, they offered good HP. Even today Ms are still at work on farms. Mainly as chore tractors around the farm. But you do see some out raking hay on a couple of farms.

my grandpa still has a M and H be bought brand new back in the day. They basically sit in the shed now tho. They are to small to even run the augers (we use a 13" 91' need at least 120 hp on it). But they do come in handy for pulling a hay rack around once in awhile.

I know only one farm with an auger that big. The rest uses elevators.

They are a pretty simple tractor to work on. There isn't much to an F-10 either. They are a simple loader. We have one on an A John Deere. I have a fair amount of experience with them. Around here that would start out around 1000 dollars and go up depending on condition. Tires are getting to be a big issue. If the tires are bad that will get expensive in a hurry.
