I recently picked up the new 1/64 Ertl #3 John Deere S690 Authentic combine with 640FD flex-draper & 616 corn head. It's detail is overall pretty good. The model is made up of mostly plastic but it's really nice. Many people have questions about the clearance on the auger for grain trailers and it does work just fine. It features a high amount of detail, open cab doors, mving mirrors and ladder, rear opening side panel w/ pull-out ladder, and raisable feeder house.
They are using a different packaging for it now. You can't put the combine back in the box unless your very careful.
The reel on the corn head actually rotates!
See? Plenty of clearance.
Looks much more detailed than the 9870.
Goes nice with a 8R and grain cart.
One generation to another.
As you can see it's ready to roll on your model farm or go to the display shelf.
I also got the new mower keychain which has a nice little bit of detail and sizes up perfectly. It resembles a X500 series.
Picked up some nice round bales. I got thess at OutBack Toys for $3.59 per package of 6 bales.
Last but not least the new 8850 from Ertl. It has large flotation tires on it and is very nicely detailed.
