I just got a new John Deere DB 90 36 row planter. It is really an impressive piece. I am now trying to decide what to pull it with. I am thinking of loading out a 9630 I have. I fugre on adding moveable three point, detailing kit. Question is saddle tanks?? and also which tires? What about wheel wieghts? I was going to use 800/70R38 Firestone on a 9630 with wheel weights but wonder if it'd be overkill? Should I use narrower tires like 20.8-46 without weights? Any advice??

I used a 9630 with the saddle tanks out in front. For tires I used 480/80R46 triples. Hope this helps. I just saw a 9R that a guy was going to plant with and it only had a 450 pound weight on each inner tire and 20 suit case weights on the front. It had pto and three point that adds weight to the rear. It had 480/80R46 on it also.
