Hey guys, hayward farms has been busy, this summer I hope to make my layout bigger (right now it aint too big) Anyways, we got some more new additions on the farm, the JD 8440, JD 8630 w. blade (not pictured in this set) and a Intl. 4366, all of these are 4wd's ;D We started spraying some feild (we use this feild for feed) We also started ripping, soon to start disking also. We are using the small ripper while we are waitng for a new bigger ripper. We aquired this ol' Intl. fire truck, this will hopefuly end up being Hayward farms service truck for awhile. We also got a load of our seed today. We will eventually have our own truck and trailer for hauling seed and other things. The new 8440 and 637 disk getting ready to hit the fields. We got the planter dug outta the barn and getting her ready for planting, I guess we will be using the 4366 this year for planting cause...................... .................the Case 180 2wd is in the shop, still tryin to figure out whats wrong with the ol' girl, we usually use this tractor for our planting. Thats it for now, Sean

looks good sean. i like that oliver. im on the look out for a nice 1850 only thing i see is: Im not sure your 8440 has enuff "umpf" to pull that disk. that is is a 32' disk and should take at least 300 HP to pull it.(im getting this off dave tallons a rticle: www.toytractortimes.com/april05/tillage.php. an 8440 has only about 215 engine HP. i could be wrong tho. its happened before

Better have the fuel cranked up on the 8440 for that disk. I am sure it will pull it just not real fast. ;D I like that Oliver. The grille guard on the Volvo is pretty sweet too.

According to Tractor Data, the 8640 has just above 200 hp and my cousin used to pull a 32' disk with his. I like the way those tractors look with a big disk. Nice Display Sean. Have you ever thought about a tire replacement for the 8440. I changed mine, using the rears from the 4455. I think it looks good.

Hey guys, have had ALOT going on with the layout, couldnt wait to post some pics.....I accidently laeft the window open last night and we got some wind , blew some of the grass off is it at least. It is almost all fixed now, but anyway, here are a pics. Well, we had a pile of sileage we needed to move, got the F350 out to pull the wagon.......the JD loader and skid steer loaded her. After that we figured we would get some gravel at the end of the road so the it wont be a muddy mess after it rains. We also are doing ALOT of construction around the farm, we are building a shelter shed for some equipment pretty fast cause we need shelter for the eq. before spring storms. It is just big anough for our 8680 to fit in it. We are also putting down and smoothing some dirt over by the barn and big machine shed (Im picking up gravel tonight) Here is our milk truck for now, working on a new one! Some over veiw shots. Sean

Thanks Clayton, I got the gravel tonight, got most of it down, looks pretty darn good IMO, all I need to do is move out the really light gravel to put down the dark grave in its place, I will be putting the white gravel underneath the shelter.

You do a nice job with your dirt and stuff. It looks good. Did you sift it?

If what ur meaning is the way I think you are........what I did was cut out a bottom of a plastik bottle and drilled a bunch of holes in the bottom, then scooped up the dirt outta the bucket and shook over one spot, this took care of all the rocks and everything, came out very good (I spread out all the dirt from where I piled it, lol)
thanks for the comment Clayton, Sean

Looks good Sean, I wouldnt worry about the 8440 and disk to much. I put alot of hours on a 8430 and 30fter in highschool, it was turned up to about 250 hp and handled it just fine, not fast but fine.
