has anyone on here had any experience running a JD 945 moco with the impeller conditioner? I'm might be looking to buy a haybine later this summer and have kinda taken a liking to those 945's, but i've heard some bad things about the impeller conditioner......

I've ran a 2pt hitch 956 with an 8120. I think it worked out fine.. i like the impellers. and you can move up and down the field too quite quick... i ran one for 3 years before i got into a pottinger mower butterfly mower on a 7930.

Never used the MoCo but we used a 4995 that had the impeller. It was awesome. It made for very fast drying hay that kept its feed value very well

So you never had any problems with the impeller losing leaves?

i used a 4995 also, and i just adjusted the impeller speed so it would help not to take of the leaves... the urathane rolls are better because they do nt take off the leaves, but the impeller fingers dries out the hay faster... so its like 6 & 1/2 dozen to the other
