well we finally kicked off planting corn wednesday but a few days prior i was out with the 305 magnum knocking down some weeds and volunteer wheat then spreading some manure/limestone screenings that we cleaned out of a friends barns since it was a riding arena when he bought the place so heres a few pics i dont get much since im usually operating everything the maxxum 125 w/ loader the 305 magnum and 30' tigermate field cultivator with 5 bar harrow rolling dust lol i was running about 2.5-3 inches deep in chiseled ground 2011 marked the last year of the 45 year run for our 3020 nf diesel pulling the corn planter back in early march we had the maxxum plumbed up for it and well lets just say its a slight improvement the corn planter is a john deere 7200 conservation with vacumeter

Nice pics.... Interesting to see a Maxxum used for seeding. Is it dry down in that part of the country. The dust rolling out from the cultivator would suggest that...

its dry on top plenty of moisture underneath maxxum and like sized tractors are common here in central ohio for planting corn with 6 or 8 row corn planters and as large tractors on the 200-600 acre farms we should finish planting corn this evening unless we decided to wait for the coming rain tonight we only put out 200 acres a year anyways its a very effiecient tractor using about .7 gal per acre planting corn
our maxxum pulls wagons in the fall, a 10 foot 3pt mower, corn planter, loader work, and who knows what else we've only had it since late semptember 2011

wejust plant corn with it and we raise about 200-250 acres every year once corn is done the 180 will be on the 1590 deere notill planting beans and the 125 might be planting winter wheat this fall because i want to see how it does with it being basically the minimum requiremnt for horse power on those drills

Nice pics.... Interesting to see a Maxxum used for seeding. We used to run a Kinze 6 row on our 5140 I know I shouldn't be shocked by this but you rarely see a CaseIH smaller than a Magnum around here let alone one as your main seeding tractor. Just a different world down there..... or it just a different world up here.....

Infant the 7140 switched over to planting when they switched to the IH 900 6 row

yeah quinton that thing is a little beast i did 170 acres in 2.5 days with that tractor and its comfy with the cab stereo and a/c and when you put on a loader put plenty of wieght i got 1500lbs of rear wheel wieghts and it still gets a little tipsy with a full bucket of dirt
