I heard of some farmers doing that in my area. Had enough of a certain tractor. And did an even swap.
Is that a 4020 Wheatland? Those are kinda rare.

It is a wheatland. Heck those things are all over out here. I can think of at least 10 of them right off hand. Of course this is wheat country. We have 2 of them. Our other one is a wheat land too.

The farm I grew up on had an Oliver disk like that. Usually pulled it with a '74 4030. The Oliver disk is long gone, but the 4030 is still in use for tobacco.

Pretty cool to see them in action but you couldn't get me to give up my cab/ac/gps and SiriusXm. Not to mention narrow implements haha.

Ok, in my area row crops is our most used tractors. You don't see wheat lands running around. Since we do a lot of row crops.

Im red to the core. Heck my dad is the lead mechanic at the Case IH dealership down the road from me. I grew up on red stuff so Im a bit bias. Ive been around 806's and 4020's and Id take the 806 any day. My buddy likes 4020's and swears by em. We were running an IH 786 with loader at an auction and he hated the square hood. I loved it. lol So I got to drive it. I HATE the gear shift on the 4020's. IH gear shifts are simple, want to go to another gear blam there it is, want to go to another gear on a 4020? better have ten minutes to get the lever moved around all those stupid notches. They are both good tractors I just like my red stuff. I also love the smoke. Chris

We got synchro on our 2520, it's not a bad one at all and much prefer the Deere trannies over other brands. I have operated most of them so far and I feel the Deere is the best. I would like to find a wheatland machine someday to bring home, fix up and play around with. I like the looks of them so darn much. The powershift are one of the best trannies by Deere in my opinion. Good to see you guys can get in the field and nice tractor and pictures.

Now your talking!! I'd make that deal any day of the week. Interesting to see the clam shell fenders on that 4020 instead of the bigger wider wheat land versions. Those are more similar to what the wheatland 4010's had, I always thought. Love the big rubber too.

The clam shell fenders are a lot more common in this area it seems like. I know of 2 with the big fenders. I know of about 10 of them with the other style.
