Weird that story is actaully from last spring unless there was the same thing happen again? Still need to remember to be carefull though, I nearly died in a grain bin 12 years ago.

That is why you never pull anything with a chain. Flat tow straps are about the best thing to use just make sure it is weight rated for more than you are going to pull. Everyone has made bad descisions in the rush to get things going again, taking a moment to think things through can save alot in the end.

Yea don't use chain, use thick rope. This happened a couple years ago here in the winter a groomer got stuck and tryed pulling out with another one with chain and same thing happened. Luckily no one got killed but it went through the back window. These people shouldn't of been usings massies, should of been Green .

saw that on the news, i know of two people that died last year due to chain breaking. though the guy in the loader should of stoped instead of digging down, would had an easir tug and could of possibly stopped the chain from breaking. but they still shouldnt of been using the chain in the first place...
