Early being a plus! We started on the 24th and have around 1300 acres cut. It actually decided to rain on us thursday so that slowed us down a bit. From left to right- 9760w/ 36ft 974 Macdon, 9330w/ 1050 Kinze, 9870w/40ft FD70 Macdon Unloading after finishing a corner. No 8650 this year, kind of a bummer.. EPA ain't likin this.. haha Put the 8410 on the cart when the 9330 was needed for dammer diking on some corn. Hauled 2 or 3 corn loads a morning to the feedlot to help fill a contract. Lots more to come. Have around 1500 for us left to cut. My uncle has a lot he might want us to tear into afterwards. Trey

Thanks for posting the pictures!
Will you double crop any of these wheat acres with soybeans or something else?

Looks good, the guys here been cutting about the time yall started. Just the early planted fields. It will be picking up any day. They are calling for rain, but we will see.
How does the 9870 handle the 40fter?

Thacker- We're averaging 35-40 in this dryland. Fields look beautiful but there just isnt as many berries in the heads as expected. We had one field that all the flats mad 10bpa and the bottoms made 90. We can't complain about yields when the last 5 years have been 20 bushel wheat crops... lol
Sprocket- The dryland average is alot different then the irrigated average will be. We're still looking at it being a week till we might try some irrigated stuff. Test weights are between 58-62, very pleasing.
The Pete is a 62'. 342 model I believe, It also has a butterfly hood. We have gone through it twice in the last 20 years. It now has a 400hp cummins with a 15 spd.
NC- All irrigated acres will be double cropped either to beans or sorghum.
Sam- It handles great. If it had a longer auger, we'd have a 45ft. Trey

Hopefully it's like that all over the state.

Dallas- Yes, we might to a preplant spread of dry fert in certain occasions. But usually we will topdress once- twice in february or march. We had to put on fungicide this year after an outbreak of rust. We ran well over 5000 acres custom spraying.
Duplin- In the picture I'm sitting on the property line. Neighbor has dryland corn on the left.
