Was busier than usual on this 106 degree day in Duplin County, NC. The Corn is looking tall and already tasseling. JD 4250 was out with the sprayer just outside of "downtown" Kenansville. Next a JD 7330 with Grain Drill coming back from planting soybean. Thats all for now.

Looks good, a lot of our corn has tassels on them as well. I saw a sprayer similar to that on a John Deere 4430. However he didn't have a front tank mounted on it. I didn't have my camera that day to get some pics. Most of our sprayers are pull types. Nice to see a mounted drill like that. I have yet to see a drill like that in use.

Interesting considering almost all of our planters and drills are mounted from 4 row to 16 row planters.

LOL I hate you! I have corn that's 2" tall. I'm disking some down. Its just gone. A few other farmers are too. It's in the WKY riverbottoms and the water is 6-7" down. Beans are drilled 2 1/2 to 3" so we're all in big trouble here.

Wow, so far our corn is looking good unless you late planted. Those are hurting some, but not as bad. So far the soys are coming up and looking decent. Only time will tell on the beans.
