I need a triaxle truck for another one of my Meyer boxes and I thought I would post how I stretch my frames. This is the second one I did and this time it only took me an hour. This is how it looked brand new and within 5 minutes of opening the package I cut it in half. I took that plastic piece off the 5th wheel, mud flaps, and third axle for now. The fun part, I cut the truck in half. After doing some scaling down and a bit of math and measuring I got my little extensions of styrene and glued them on. Then I put a coat of paint on, I wanted to put a coat of testors on but I couldn't find any red. I also got the mud flaps back on. I just have to finish up my 26' meyer box and then I will have two feed trucks.

Hey you do an awesome job as well as I do my trucks, I have cut and stretched about 7 strucks so far and I use a hack saw to cut them. Just wondering what do you use and is there anything easier than a hacksaw and do you use 1/4" styrene channel or stips you cut just wondering?

I use a hacksaw to that's the fastest way to cut the frame without messing up the cab, if there was some way to get a vice on it it would go a lot faster. For styrene I just buy a couple sheets of .02" styrene then glued three strips together or however many it takes to be almost flush with the frame, I do that just to keep my big pile of stuff that keeps growing down.
