Hi all, my name is Charlie and Im new to the hobby. I am planning a 4'wx6'l midwest farm display. I have a couple questions on the grain system im planning on using. Im planning on using Ertl's grain leg kit, adding a 40,000bu bin and a 8500bu hopper bin with super structure from standi toys. My equipment im planning on using is: Case/IH 9230 w/duals, 2 Wilson double bottom hopper grain trailers, and a Brent 680 and a 760 grain cart. Would the grain system be sufficent enough to handle the equipment lineup? I also am open to any tips and/or advice that I can get to help me build this display. Thanx in advance!

How many acres are you running? How far away are the fields? What is the normal BPA for the area your modeling? These are just some of the questions you need to factor in when planning something like this. Sounds like it will be an impressive set-up.

I will be running approx. 2500 acres of winter wheat, field corn and alfalfa. Typically, farms around here get anywhere between 50 and 100 bpa. All of our fields are close to the grain system so travel time is miminal if any at all.

Well, looks like it will work. Seems like it will be a great display, what area of the midwest are you modeling?

I live in the eastern part of kansas so prob around here. I'm not modelling any farm in particular just doing this for the fun of it basically.

What's the bushels in scale of that big bin? Is it the big Standi bin?
