With me being off this week from work. I got to work on a few minor customs that I been wanting to do and get out of the way. Before I will start on my bigger projects. That will take longer.
IH 1460 combine:
I decided to fix the horrible bin on this combine. Granted the toy is decent. I know it has some issues. So I fixed one of them. Mainly the stupid bin. I took the combine apart to get the bin off it. To make it easier to work with. With a razor knife I carefully removed the extension part that serves no purpose. Other than making it look ugly. Now the combine looks lot better. I still need to find some grey paint for the screen. Which I will fix later.
IH 1486:
I wanted to put duals on my IH 1486 Tri Stripe. So I added some to him to get the HP to the ground. This tractor will be on a display in the future.
Case 4690:
Last year I fixed the Standi tires on the tractor. I got this from Matsen a few year before that. So I put on the ones from an Ertl Case 2470. Which did helped the looks some. I still wasn't happy with it. So I removed the crappy metal exhaust pipe. Which looked like a blob of metal sticking out. And put on the exhaust pipe from the 2470 as well. I think it looks lot better now.
Case 4894:
This one also got the same treatment as the Case 4690. I really liked how both of these turned out.
Case 2590:
I wanted to do something with this Case as well. So I took the tires off a 1370 and put them on. This really helped the look of it. As it made it more Case looking other than the original tires. I been waiting for the 1570 '76 turf fronts to come on a self model. So I can put them on instead. But so far they hadn't done another tractor with it. If they do come in the future, I will do a front tire swap.
Case 2594:
This one also got the same treatment. However I took a black Sharpie marker and painted the inside black. To match the real ones better. This also improved the looks. In the future if the turf fronts are cheaper to get. This one will also get those tires.
