Should make a nice restoration candidate, no doubt. They are fun tractors to putt around with.

Nope, it ain't stuck, it actually fires and should run really soon. That is good news on the buy. A rebuild can cost in the 1,000s easy. When I did my G it cost me $1000 just in machine shop work to bore it. What I know now, I would left it at the owner. And could bought a newer tractor for the money I have in it. Like a Ford 5000 or something similar in size. And get far more use out of it. Granted I like my G.

Are you gonna paint the whole thing at some point? When I get a little older I'd like to try an old tractor or a combine, I think that would be cool.

Looking good there. Our 630 was a pain to paint in the winter. All the wind, cold and snow kept pushing the finishing date back. I like your job so far. You look to be doing it all right and what not. My Grandfather's first tractor were an A, two Bs and a G. Really great tractors, at that time that was all we had for tractors. My dad grew up on them too and really wants to get the one old B back.

Very cool project! I have a 1949 JD model AW that I want to fix up some day. For my senior project I am going to restore my grandpas JD model 40. I look forward to updates on this project and seeing how it turns out. Looks like a good start! Jared
