Fall Tillage and Soybean Harvest

[Olson Farms]

We flew through corn harvest this year partly because nothing went in bins. The other part is you can cruise along through 100 bushel corn. At Olson Farms this year we had a corn crop that made 125 bu to the acre, with single farms ranging from 83 up to 149. So we finished on the 14 of September and didn't have any beans ready to cut until now so I have been in the 9270. The 730B is pulling good this year.







As for soybeans it looks like we will have at least an average crop this year. Some late rain really helped out. We installed a field tracker kit on the platform over the summer which is wonderful. Hopefully we can finish harvest as smoothly as it started.

I haven't seen anything green like that in over a year

Also I enjoy seeing Greenstar on Red tractors. Which is made even more funny in the fact that we run Green tractors that have Red (Trimble is CNH) GPS

It's a 1989 7120 Magnum which hopefully will get replaced next year. It's pushing 7000 hours.

The Deere system is much more simple than the old ez steer motor that sticks off the side. As long as you don't mind the Deere emblem on the steering wheel in a red tractor

We chopped some silage corn that our adjuster set at 210bu for our APH. We are doing high moisture in the same field that is doing about 170 (different corn obviously)
