Review: Ertl - Steiger Tiger IV (Toy Farmer)

I got this last week before Thanksgiving. Finally got around to do a review on him.

Compared to the other Steigers Ertl has done. This one is very similar to them. Nice detail for the grill, hood, cab, fenders, and tires. The paint and decals are very nice. I love the bigger hood to house the KT1150 Cummins. It gives the Beast of the Steigers a beastly look. This has been one on my list for a very long time. Since I first heard about him. And finally glad to get one into my collection. And it rounds out my Steiger Collection very nicely. Now if I can get a Tiger III. Then I will have the Tiger series completed. The only flaw I found, plagued the other Steigers Ertl made. They have very poor turning. Which to me takes away part of the toy since that was a main feature for 4WDs. Other than that its a very good toy.






Here is a pic of my others with the KT1150 Cummins for engine power. The Versatile 1150, Rome 450-C, and Stieger KT5252. I do have a Woods & Copeland with the 1150 as well. Which I didn't take for the pic.


Now if I can get a Rite and Big Bud with the KT1150 Cummins. I will have nice set of Big Cummins Iron.

Shocker. Hence why I won't be getting one..

I'd prefer a B Long Steiger over this anyways..

Ok that is new on me for the toy. Its suppose to be wider or something? Looks about right to me. Then again my Steiger knowledge is limited.

You will like it. I sure do, with me about ready to redo my journals "book wise". I been thinking about adding some Steigers to my displays.

The wheels look in scale with the tractor compared to earlier Steiger releases. Nice review.
