Saskatoon Toy Show is right around the corner again, it is the 25th year and will be held at the Western Development Museum. Show times are from 5-9 friday, 10-5 Saturday, and 10-4 Sunday January 11-12-13/2013. I hope to have a couple tables there to show, if anyone is going stop by and say hi.  |

I wanted to be there this year.... but once again other things have gotten in the way. Headed to Australia and not getting back till mid Jan... actually flying into Calgary the evening of the 13th......... bummer.
Guess we'll shoot for 2014....

2014 might be too late, it was nip and tuck for a show this year. When I talked to Sherry who organizes the show about booking tables in November she said their rent had been doubled and the show had been canceled. Later through the grape vine I'd heard that it was back on and I called for tables again, and the show was back on. I plan on taking two tables of 1/32nd and 64th 4wd's and some custom built stuff.

i'll be there prolly saturday
that weekend is always a hit and miss one one year t's a blizzard and next is nice
last year was terrible the schultz's (the 4 tables of solid 1/64) were packin up and headin home when i got there last year i usually buy 1 or 2 from them
i enjoy that show always something to buy

I sure hope they can keep it going, I always do my share to support it! I usually drop $2-300 in less than an hour.

From what I gathered talking to the organizers they want to keep having the show, they just might have to find a new place to have it. The reason it was going to be canceled was because it was too late to find another venue when they found out their rent doubled. Some talking with the museum allowed them to have their 25th show as planned.

I'm sure there is, they were just left without enough notice to find one, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last show at the museum. unless they work out something with the rent.

when dad went to the show 20 yrs ago they had it at a hotel in saskatoon i think it was the ramada or somthing anyways the show got so big thats why it's at the museum
still plannin on saturday the 12th
their's got to be a hall or something how about the manhatan ballroom lol

This is actually the first year I 'm showing in Saskatoon, I've shown at the Lloydminster show before. The 32nd stuff that has been in Saskatoon before was a guy from Swift Current, his last name was Hogg or Hobbs I can't remember which, but his collection of 32nd put mine to shame. He collected for variations and easily had twice as many peices as me. It was very impressive.
Lane you haven't missed the show yet it is still two weeks away. Jan 11-12-13 The picture was an old one of mine from the Lloydminster show.

i wish i could go but we just got 4 feet of snow and 9 feet in some other places!!! and the road sucks going to moose jaw so maybe next year!!!
