What's wrong with the drill that has SGI involved. There are still lots of them out there the only problem is that most of them went from being used and looked after, to being parked and forgotten in a fenceline somewhere. Every once in a while there is an auction that has a set.

Lane1486,
Got a 28' set sitting in Assiniboia, hasn't been used in 12 years, but they worked great when we ran them. We have talked about putting them in an auction just never have.

Our neighbour has 16 ft IH 6200 drill sitting in the bush. We been after him to sell them to us for the last 3 years and finally last fall he gave in. He only seeded 300 acres with it and then it sat under his shed for most of its life til 3 years ago when they bought a new camping trailer. The wind last spring ripped the tarp off it and he almost backed over it with D5 cat. Decided that it was time and sold it to us for $1000.

We would like to see 3000 but we would be open to negotiation, but you will want to take a look at it and right now you will need snow shoes and a big shovel to find it

I know of this guy at Assiniboia who farmed with 28' of 7200's up until 12 years ago..... ;D Good to see you on here Robin. Welcome to the toy farmin' world. You sure you won't want them 7200's as backup this year? You know in case it's too wet and sticky this spring to pull the big air drill... I'd pay to see them hitched to the 9380 heading down the field...

There would only be 5' of the press drills sticking out of either side of the triples, I think we would suffer on the compaction side a little bit. Tell you what, I will drag the 7200's around with the Steiger if you pull out the Seed Rites with that shiny new JD you got! Besides With that drill out of the way you will have better access to all those engines and tranny you have stashed out there

That would make for a humorous sight (Morris Seedrites behind the 9530). I'd have to cobble together some kind of double hitch so I could pull both 18' Seed Rites together. If only I had some engineering background to come up with such a thing..... and some time to waste...
