Lots of pics and I have no clue where to begin, I guess we can start with the dealer. I went in to take some pictures of a recently released coulter injection system for the CIH planters. Anyone know when these became available? Dad was telling me it is a very new thing but just curious if hes correct.
Coulters are offset 2 1/2 inches to the right of the seed and are cutting at a 10-12 degree angle.
Center Pivot on a trailer, also one of the many trucks that they have
Biggest tractor on the lot, not sure who they think they are going to sell it to though...
A few of the 7088s, at one time there were 8 of them in a line here but they have some at the shop and some lined up closer to the road
Back row of the combine lot
Second row of the combine lot
Part of the front row
Two pictures of the small JD dealer, they are probably going to end up out of business in a few years. The town over has a JD dealer with 15-20 new combines on the lot, a DB80! lots of planters and tractors also. This one has... nothing
Now onto some farming pictures:
Some massive ruts I left last fall while playing in the mud, Tracks go for at least 1/4 mile, I was pulling the grain cart until the wheels stopped turning because they choked up with mud, at that point it was a deadhead to the end to keep from getting stuck as there were no tractors available to pull it out.
Chiseling the endrows we ripped last fall, I never did ask how deep we were running the chisel but a 20 foot chisel was literally throwing the DT200 around in the rough spots
Now onto disking the neighbors powder field, I will explain later on...
What I was running until the fuse burnt out and I didnt have anymore lights
AGCO DT200 with 20 foot sunflower disk
You probably cant see all the huge piles and holes in the pictures but believe me, they are there!
The somewhat good field
The very bad field
Ok to explain the reason for disking the neighbors field;
The field had been deep ripped 18+ inches deep, about 5 times each in a different direction. It turned out so bad because he failed to get the stalks swather and baled like he did last year. I suppose your wondering why he ripped it 5 times? well here is the answer
He was installing some more drip tape (T-tape) for irrigation, I guess it must be working well for him as this is the second year he has put some in. It is being buried 16" deep on 60" spacing.
Any questions please ask.
The person who was wanting pictures of the wheel setup on the 1250 planters, please PM me!
