So your putting in 4 robots? My uncle just put in 2 Lely Astronauts this past fall. He already had a 120 cow freestall. I think the max 1 robot can milk is 60 cows a day, so you can probably only milk 240. The train in period for the cows really sucks. How long have the cows been in the freestall?

Where are you from? We have several farms we haul feed to that have the lely robots 2 of them have 2 each and one just put in 4 and they all say they will never go back to the conventional way.

Should be nice to have! One of our local dairys just got some and they love them. They are going to have a tour of them at the end of this month so I may go check them out. They have had them for a month and say that 98% of their cows are trained and it wasn't too hard to get most of them started. Good luck with them! Jared

Yea, my uncle isn't to far from Peosta, he is more down by Cascade Ia. The first 2 weeks were tough to get them trained in, but after that it gets much easier. Best of luck to you!
