I was finally able to get my 806 into the field and use it. First I had it on the 5 bottom Moline plow I got last winter. I plowed up a couple terraces. I was a little lacking in the traction department with my worn down tires.

I found a canopy for it on the local classifieds. So I bought it for those hot days this summer when I am swathing hay. Had a minor setback when I went to pick it up.
Installed.
Before I put the canopy on I disked our feed ground. It handled the disk really well except toward the end of the field it started to puke some coolant out.
At first I thought it was just a weak radiator cap so I wasn't too worried about it. So I put my canopy on the next day and got a radiator cap at the local Case IH dealer. He said they are prone to head gasket trouble which I didn't know about. I always had heard that they were a tough engine. So I investigated further the next time I was at the farm and had lots of bubble in the radiator. So I pulled the head.
I had to climb up in the rafter to rig up a hoist to lift the fuel tank off. So I took a pic.
Once I pulled the valve cover I found this broken valve spring. So the head gasket may have been a blessing in disguise. I am glad it didn't drop a valve.
Once I got the head removed I found the gasket was shot. The 1 and 2 cylinder were leaking.
Gonna be an expensive little set back. I guess it could have been a lot worse.
